Key InformationSchool Policies

The Governing Body has policies for all aspects of school life. Paper copies of the policies below can be requested from the school offices, or PDF files can be sent via email on request.

A selection of policies are also available below, with the date the policy was last updated in parentheses.

Please note that the school’s Values and Vision will be amended on each policy when they reach their review dates. This will mean that some policies will show the old vision and values for a period of time.

Our Equalities statement:

At Barns Green Primary School, we make all members of our community feel welcome and valued. We are committed to ensuring high expectations and equality of opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents, carers and governors. This is irrespective of race, gender, disability, belief, sexual orientation, age or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and ability to participate fully in school life.

Behaviour Statement:

At Barns Green Primary School, we encourage mutual respect, care and concern for others. We want our children to develop a clear view of right from wrong and to feel safe and valued. Our good behaviour policy promotes positive relationships and an environment where everyone works together in an effective and considerate way that enables all to reach their full potential, emotionally, socially and intellectually. We believe that all children should be aware of the standards of behaviour expected of them and we have high expectations of behaviour from our children here at school.
